2026 Summer Getaway to Bucks County, PA. This easy Summer escape from New York City is also a perfect getaway from Philadelphia. There is so much to see & do in this Summer recreation area that you will want to plan on a few days to a week to take it all in. Our best suggestion is to book the Do More in 4 package at Bridgeton House on the Delaware – Bucks County’s only truly riverfront inn. There are no roads, canals or guardrails to cross to enjoy the river. You can view it from your private porch or any of the riverside terraces reserved for guests of the inn only. This romantic, award winning riverside haven offering room rates inclusive of a multi-course made to order breakfast and afternoon tea featuring homemade sweets and savories is a real value when traveling for a weekend outing or a longer vacation in Summer of 2026. You can get here and back home in just one tank of gas and many guests call the breakfast the “skip lunch” breakfast so your only added expense is dinner and any paid activities you may choose.
